Description:

Danang City by Han river - a poetic and beautiful sea city plus the hospitability of the city people make it a frequent destination for domestic and international tourists. However, some general information will be more useful for your first trip here.

2. Getting there and away:

a. By air: Located very near the city center, 3km at the southwest, Danang international airport is one of the three largest in Vietnam after Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai airports. It is close enough to reach by xe om (motorbike taxi) in 10 mimutes (around 10,000VND). A metered taxi to the centre is about 20,000VND.

Currently, there are more than 30 airlines of 20 countries operating in the Danang air space.

From Danang, there are not only domestic flights to Hanoi, Hochiminh city, Hai Phong, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Pleiku, ect. but also international ones to Bangkok (Thailand), Hong Kong (China), Vientiane (Laos), Phnompenh (Cambodia), Taipei (Taiwan)...

b. By train: Da Nang is served by all Reunification Express trains. There are several trains daily to HCMC, Hanoi and poitns between.

c. By bus: Danang intercity bus station (Dien Bien Phu street) is about 3km from the city center. Buses leave for Hue (3 hours, 108km), Hanoi (16 hours, 764km) and HCMC (24 hours, 964km) regularly throughout the day.

Regular buses to Hoi An (around 1 hour) depart from a local bus station 200m from the intercity bus station.

d. Car & Motorbike: The simplest way ti get to Hoi An is to hire a car for around 10 - 15$US, or a motorbike for around 6 - 7$US.

Tourist can also reach My Son by motorbike or car, with the option of being dropped in Hoi An on the way back.
